These gatherings serve as platforms for individuals to exchange invaluable insights on skill development and share inspiring personal stories. SkillsLive, as an independently organised LOSD initiative, takes place in various international settings and prestigious academic venues, featuring dynamic speakers renowned for their motivational prowess. These events foster profound discussions and facilitate meaningful connections on stage in front of a live audience.

About SkillsLive

SkillsLive is a non-profit organisation dedicated to disseminating noteworthy ideas about skill development to global communities. Initially conceived as part of the London Organisation of Skills Development (LOSD), its primary aim is to empower societies worldwide through the sharing of knowledge, motivation, and inspiration within prestigious institutions and locations. At SkillsLive events, leading thinkers and achievers from across the globe are invited to deliver concise talks of 15 minutes or less. Many of these enlightening talks are subsequently available for free on www.losd.co.uk. Notable speakers at SkillsLive include influencers like Prof. Dr. Parin Somani, Winner of Mrs. World 2022 and author of 21 books. There is growing interest from celebrity speakers to participate in upcoming SkillsLive events.

The annual SkillsLive event occurs in various locations around the world, hosted in esteemed venues. Through its initiatives, SkillsLive provides a platform for inspirational speakers to share their insights and educate a global audience. Talks from SkillsLive events are typically uploaded a few weeks later, complete with subtitles, interactive transcripts, and translations upon request. Additionally, SkillsLive awards an annual prize to exceptional individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to effecting positive change in the world through their actions. How to apply for SkillsLive

Becoming a SkillsLive speaker can significantly elevate your personal brand’s authority, positioning you as an industry expert. This endorsement not only enhances your credibility but also unlocks a myriad of new opportunities. With SkillsLive on your resume, gaining publicity becomes notably simpler.

SkillsLive events occur at various global venues, offering a diverse platform for speakers. To secure a speaking slot, prospective presenters must apply with their proposed idea and a concise talk description. This application process serves as the gateway to sharing your expertise on a SkillsLive stage.

Preparing a Topic for Your SkillsLive Talk

When brainstorming a potential topic for your SkillsLive talk, view it as a strategic investment for the long term.

Ask yourself: Is this topic the primary area of expertise I wish to be associated with for years to come?

Exercise careful consideration in your selection.

Now is the time to define the core concept, laying the groundwork for your future application to deliver a compelling SkillsLive presentation.

Criteria

  • Please be aware that SkillsLive presentations are distinct from motivational speeches or mere personal anecdotes.
  • If you intend to submit an application with a personal story, it must include an idea or lesson relevant to skill development to be considered eligible; otherwise, it will not meet our criteria and will be rejected.
  • SkillsLive talks do not resemble lectures or biographies; applicants must offer a unique perspective or opinion on their subject matter to be considered.
  • We exclusively accept professional speakers presenting fresh material.
  • Exceptional SkillsLive presentations revolve around a singular idea that holds significant value for sharing.

Do you possess an innovative approach to an existing issue, a solution to contemporary challenges, intriguing research findings, or groundbreaking technology and design concepts? This is precisely the type of content we seek.

Keeping these guidelines in mind, which idea and skills will you present in your SkillsLive talk?

Please submit a clear and specific description of your proposed performance below, within a limit of 300 words to admin@losd.co.uk.  Avoid merely hinting at a concept or providing a title; instead, articulate your presentation idea comprehensively.  We look forward to hearing from you and are excited at the possibility of you delivering your SkillsLive talk on the live stage.
